A few weeks ago we were asked to photograph the contestants for the 2010 Miss Norco Pageant. The photo shoot was being hosted by The Best in the New West, the official salon of the 2010 Miss Norco Pageant. It was hectic but the results turned out well and my partner and I were asked to consider photographing a couple of other events associated with the Norco Valley Fair.
The Norco High School girls basketball team came up short against the Lady Monarchs from Mater Dei in the quarterfinals of CIF action Wednesday night, 59-50. The first quarter was tied as the Cougars held their own against the taller visitors, but a pressure full court press by Mater Dei yielded a 10-0 run at the beginning of the second period.
The Eastern Division Wrestling Championships of the the CIF Southern Section was completed this weekend at Citrus Hills High School in Perris. Individual championships were earned in 14 weight classes. Centennial and Atascadero High Schools tied the team scoring with with 188.5 points each.
The city of Norco, horses, and rodeos all go together. Kind of like Pat's Kitchen and breakfast, Frahm Dodge and trucks, Bob's and Big Boy, or Filippi's and great pizza.
It was a battle for the Big VIII lead and both Norco and Centennial High Schools were sporting identical 7-1 records and were undefeated in league play. The Huskies played host but rarely do big games live up to the hype that precedes it. Last Friday night proved to be the exception.
Norco High School has a new football stadium, and there's still a lot of construction happening on campus, but the Cougar football team looked solid as it handed the visiting team from La Quinta High School a 42-22 defeat.
When I received the Email that said there were two last minute cancellations to an Equestrian in the Water photo workshop I can't fully describe my excitement. I was disappointed when I was unable to make an earlier workshop, but this was my chance.
The Norco Cougar softball team showed why they are the top seed as they handed the visitors from Hart High School a 2-0 loss Tuesday in the CIF semifinals.
